More useful tips:
· Place your bins/baskets/bags where you’ll be recycling that material!
o For example, put your paper bin in the living room where you read the newspaper and batteries in the office or bedroom (wherever you change the batteries most often)
o Keep a paper bag in the paper basket so if you take out the paper on the way out, you can toss the whole thing in the bin and not have to return home to replace your basket
o Plastic shouldn’t be recycled in the battery container! Keep your batteries in a little cardboard box and that way when you recycle your batteries you can toss the box into the cardboard bin right after!
· Ideas for what you can use for recycling “bins”
o Baskets
o Paper bags
o Waste bins
· Save space in your apartment by putting multiple “bins” under your sink, on the door to the cabinet below your sink, or in a storage closet or pantry
